Something after rev/41adad987d82 (tinderbox-builds/mozilla-central-macosx64/1415275583/ which seems ok) is causing this startup crash.

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0 Build ID: 20141106045123 Steps to reproduce: using CLI as noted in the crashreport Comments section. Crashreport ID: 15dfa564-d3e2-4e42-8f0f-28f9e2141106 Actual results: this crash Expected results: functioning browser
This build has no symbols, from the looks of it, so the stack doesn't tell us anything... https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/15dfa564-d3e2-4e42-8f0f-28f9e2141106 Did safe mode help? Does today's nightly work? Do you have the force rtl add-on installed? Are you using e10s? :-)

. Hello, (I'm sorry, I had fallen asleep for several hours. Part of my disability.) I am running this build now with -safe-mode . It seems ok, does not crash. Just rather bright for my eyes. ;) I also tested this build in regular 64-bit mode ("arch -x86_64") with no other CLI options in effect. This mode also produced crashes, which ought to be filed here somewhere as well. Early-on when we were first asked to test e10s, I had not been able to see anything, it was all black, so I decided to wait 'til things progressed further. So no I'm still not using e10s but would be happy to if given a green light. ;) I usually try the nightly first then fetch the (nearest) tip tinderbox build secondly. If nightly does not include the range of revs mentioned here, it shouldn't see this problem. At the present time I'm saving/using the previous build 1415275583 as a fallback. If this build has no symbols, well, I fetched it straight from the server as-is. ;) Sorry that I'm clueless on what is the "force rtl add-on" so I guess I don't have it installed. I do have the Nightly Tester Tools plugin & active in order to test/use several add-ons, but of course -safe-mode disables them. ;) I can go back to 1415275583 and generate listings of the active add-ons. I can see why any possible culprits could be discovered that way. "I'll be back." ;) .

. Got it working. Here's the current list after cleaning out: Adblock Plus 2.6.5.3873 Adblock Plus Pop-up Addon 0.9.2 babelbar 1.3 [DISABLED] BetterPrivacy 1.68 British English Dictionary 1.19.1 [DISABLED] Certificate Patrol 2.0.13rc [DISABLED] DANE Patrol 0.2.3 [DISABLED] DeSopa 1.4 [DISABLED] DivX Plus Web Player HTML5 <video> 2.1.2.172 [DISABLED] DoNotTrackMe 2.2.5.1211 [DISABLED] Download YouTube Videos as MP4 1.7.29 [DISABLED] DownloadHelper 4.9.24 [DISABLED] Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express 7.34 [DISABLED] EPUBReader 1.4.2.5 [DISABLED] Flash and Video Download 1.63 [DISABLED] Flashblock 1.5.17 [DISABLED] Google™ Translator 0.3.1 [DISABLED] Greasemonkey 2.3beta1 [DISABLED] HTTPS Finder 0.85 HTTPS-Everywhere 4.0.2 Keep Tube Downloader 1.2 [DISABLED] Lightbeam 1.0.10.2 [DISABLED] MAFIAAFire: ThePirateBay Dancing! 0.3.3.2.10102012 [DISABLED] New Zealand English Dictionary 1.0.1 [DISABLED] Nightly Tester Tools 3.7 NoScript 2.6.9.3rc3 Perspectives 4.5.2 [DISABLED] Privacy Badger Firefox 0.2.3 [DISABLED] RT News 1.0 [DISABLED] Test Pilot 1.2.3 [DISABLED] Torbutton 1.4.6.3 [DISABLED] User Agent Switcher 0.7.3 Walmart 1.0.13.13 [DISABLED] Yahoo! Toolbar 3.2.6.20140805113039 [DISABLED] YouTube Video and Audio Downloader 0.3.9.1 [DISABLED] . I'll just leave it this way for now. Basically I disabled the video grabbers, Guugle™'s stuff, etc., and kept the really useful "honest" stuff. Yes I'm now running: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0 ID:20141106045123 CSet: 0c66a9fd9085 withOUT -safe-mode . For some reason my "gutt" points to RT-News and/or Privacy-Badger as the culprit(s). I'll try re-enabling the prior list but without these. (But it's close to time for dinner, which ought to be here soon. <w>) .
Could you reproduce the crash in a regular nightly and send the crash report? Also confirming the regression range (with revisions for both the good and bad build) would help pinning this on a particular changeset; right now you only said the previous build seemed to be fine (it would be best to confirm by re-running it) and I don't think we can get the revision of the bad build from the soccoro's UI...

It sounds like this is worksforme, and possibly a dupe of bug 1095512. Please reopen if re-enabling add-ons causes us to start crashing again on more current nightlies. Thanks!
