I frequently have video content (air mozilla, youtube etc) going in one window while I use multiple tabs in a separate window. Since I started dogfooding e10s, the window with the plugin (or HTML5 video for that matter) frequently stalls and drops frames/audio, while I am using the other window.
This is a common pattern on my home use as well, I'll be watching netflix/youtube/etc. in one window while browsing in another, and I have the same problem there.
I have been working around by running the plugin or video in a non-e10s window.
Maybe latency-sensitive things like video/plugins deserve their own content process?

Hi Rob, I believe there has been significant improvement with plugins in e10s, since you reported this a year ago. Is this still a notable issue for you?

I'm using e10s on Nightly with default settings and you're right, this doesn't seem to be a problem that I can perceive anymore.
