Hi Thomas,

Could you advice what is the manifest.webapp address for pre-building Wikipedia?

Hi Wil,

Partners found that when they preload Wikipedia, they can still install it again via marketplace, which cause the device has two marketplace, could you advice what went wrong here?

Thanks

That will happen if the origins don't match. For example, en.wikipedia.org isn't the same as pt.wikipedia.org. The mobile site would also have a different origin. Please link to whatever is being preloaded so we can have a look.

It might be worth noting that there isn't anything stopping someone from putting a packaged wikipedia, or another language, or any other version of wikipedia in the Marketplace so investigating this bug may solve one case but there may be more in the future.

Dear Wil,

The webapp ulr for the app is http://bits.wikimedia.org/WikipediaMobileFirefoxOS/manifest.webapp, and the origin is http://bits.wikimedia.org, please help to check.

Thanks.
Hi Wil,

Is the url in comment#4 prove the hypothesis in comment#3?

If yes, do you mean this issue is actually work as design and no good way to avoid it currently?

https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/wikipedia/ has a manifest of https://bits.wikimedia.org/WikipediaMobileFirefoxOS/manifest.webapp (note the SSL) so, as far as I know, yes, it is working as expected.

Wikipedia - https://bits.wikimedia.org/WikipediaMobileFirefoxOS/manifest.webapp

Did you already submit a request to preload via this form?

Dears,

I try to preload this app via https://bits.wikimedia.org/WikipediaMobileFirefoxOS/manifest.webapp, and the issue cannot be reproduced, so I will use the new url.
Please close this PR, thanks for all your help.
