RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 693204

People

(Reporter: holger, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:33.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/33.0
Build ID: 20141013200257

Steps to reproduce:

When Thunderbird is running and and a new mail arrives at my Gmail account, it immediately shows in the inbox. However, if I read and/or delete the mail with the Gmail app on my phone, its status doesn't change in Thunderbird. It is still there as unread and undeleted. Only if I restart Thunderbird the mail disappears from the inbox.

1. setup a Gmail account with the TB account wizard
2. send yourself a mail to this Gmail account -> Thunderbird, Gmail web, Gmail phone app etc. show new mail notification
3. Read and delete this mail with the Gmail web or phone app
4. This mail is still in Thunderbirds Gmail inbox and its status doesn't change even after waiting several hours
Dup of bug 693204.

Because Gmail IMAP supports CONDSTORE, "problem due to bug in CONDSTORE support in Tb" may occur at same time. Read Bug 912216 and disable CONDSTORE support.
After it, try a workaround : (1) go Work Offline and go back to Work Online + (2) re-open Inbox(click other folder then click Inbox) .
