Can you please provide me information as to:
when it was fixed
how it was fixed
what specifically was broken
is it all plugins -- and what would it take to verify it
In addition -- in the future, please provide this tyoe of information so I can
effectively and efficiently verify the fix.
Sorry for obscure report, I filed the bug primarily to get it on the radar for
myself.
All plugins just did not appear, alternative context was not displayed too. I
think it was just accident when somebody put return statement in
nsPluginHostImpl::SetupPluginInstance too early. It was fixed 08/02/99 17:17
Now plugins show up.
Any plugin test case will do verification, e.g.
http://www.student.oulu.fi/%7esairwas/object-test/video/avi1.html
Video is not playing and this is another issue on which I am going to file a new
bug.

I downloaded version 1999080508, and I accessed
http://www.student.oulu.fi/%7esairwas/object-test/video/qt1.html
In the results section, the Quicktime symbol displayed, but the actual plugin
did not. Now this could be just user error on my part, but I don't think so.
I am testing on win98 PII/128 MB RAM -- DO you have any suggestions?

Just looked at another bug -- this could be the result of bug # 678 - the object
tag is not working again.
If you see the QT symbol that means the plugin is invoked an the problem
originally reported gone. If you try our old LiveAudio you'll see the
"actual" plugin. QT just doesn't draw the whole thing untill it starts
receiving the data to play. Plugin is not playing the stream and I filed a bug
for this -- #11376 assigned initially to warren.
As to bug #678, I don't think it is related. Summary was misleading I changed it
last night. Object tag _is_ working, you can try images on the same test page.
You already saw plugin. Only specific type of object is not being displayed,
namely HTML.
