With e10s enabled I am unable to stream live videos on air.mozilla.org.  I simply get a black box with the following text:

  "Error loading player: No playable sources found"

Enabling or disabling flash does not seem to effect this.  I have to disable e10s in order to watch a live stream.

Note, I can watch pre-recorded videos in e10s mode just fine.  I guess they must use different players.

Live streams use Flash. Recorded videos support both Flash and WebM <video>.

Ben: What platform are you using? Do you have any add-ons installed?

satdav says he will ask the airmo team to host a live stream on a test server.

Do I need to restart after enabling flash?  That's the only combination I did not try.

No, you should not need to restart after enabling or disabling Flash in about:addons.

This problem sounds like Flash is unable to retrieve the stream URL from content. So this could be related to e10s content process separation or maybe networking in the chrome process. jimm has been working on chrome/content/plugin process communication recently, so he might have some debugging suggestsions.

Testing: Works for the project call, but interestingly I was unable to connect to a live staff meeting.

I talked to service desk and it sounds like I did not have access to the MoFo meeting I was using to test (which I did not know. I thought I had access to everything when logged in as an employee)

So it turns out that was expected behavior

I am still having this problem with the moco meeting happening right now.

If I go to the air mozilla page in an e10s window I get the error reported above.  If I open a non-e10s window then I get a working stream.

I'm on windows 8.1 36.0a1 (2014-11-19).

Note, the steps I followed are:

1) open browser with flash disabled in e10s mode
2) go to air mozilla in e10s tab, log in, and get error trying to view live moco meeting stream
3) enable flash
4) reload air mozilla in e10s tab and still get error
5) open air mozilla in non-e10s window and able to watch live moco meeting stream
I didn't have any problems fwiw, on win7.
What flash do you have?  about:plugins shows me:

Same version here. I also have click to play enabled for the desktop. Not sure if that's different from your setup.

FWIW, youtube is also not working in e10s mode for me today.  Thats probably html5 player, though, right?

yes, afaict they totally switched over to html5 a couple weeks ago. I haven't found any flash on that site since.
