Steps to replicate: * Upgrade from 35.0a2 to FirefoxDeveloperEdition (several downloads later) What happened: * Default browser preference went away. Links in external applications began opening in Safari, which must be the default default browser. What should have happened: * If Aurora was my default browser before, FirefoxDeveloperEdition should be my default browser after.
I neglected to mention operating system: OSX Yosemite.
Didn't FirefoxDeveloperEdition ask to become the default browser on startup? You should have seen a popup dialog.
Is this still relevant, now that the migration has been done a while ago?

I don't think replicating this bug in the present day would be justified.
