User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:33.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/33.0
Build ID: 20141106120505

Steps to reproduce:

No special action taken to reproduce. Appears to happen in existing windows, new windows, new profiles and safe mode.

Actual results:

The minimize, maximize and close buttons appears to be drawn behind the aero fog on windows 7. If you manipulate the top bar in most any way (resize, new tab, drag tab, alt button, etc...) the three buttons pop up above the fog for a few seconds, before going back under. This effect also applies to lightweight personas, drawing the three buttons completely invisible below the persona. You can still interact with them in this state.

This happens both on an older machine with an NVIDIA Quadro FX 3450/5000 adapter and a much newer machine with an NVIDIA GTX 760 adapter. There are also a few less common effects, such as the entire window going white, but still interactable(ie. clicking on tabs changes the window title, minimize button still works) after being left alone for an extended period of time.

setting layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled to false in about:config and restarting firefox seems to fix all such issues.

Expected results:

Caption buttons should be drawn on top of either the aero fog or the persona.
