After loading IRCCloud the website works fine but the loading throbber won't for some reason ever go away. It just sits there spinning.

You can see the favicon initially but a few seconds after loading the page there seems to be another requests that triggers the throbber and never stops it. I can't reproduce it currently anymore but I'm sure it will happen again and I heard from others having the same problem too.
Srangely, WFM
So after using IRCCloud for a few more minutes after loading the tab, the spinner is back. No idea what this is related to.
Oh, may be related to embedded tweets? When someone posts a link to a tweet it gets embedded with image and text. Someone just did that in one of the channels I'm in and it's spinning again right after loading.
Yeah, that's it. Mark just confirmed on IRC.

We suspect this is the same bug as bug 1096506.

Reopening, as this bug seems to have reemerged recently (today's nightly or maybe yesterday's, since I was offline all day).

Panos: can you provide more detailed Steps to reproduce, please.
Flags: needinfo?(past)
STR:
1. Go to irccloud.com and enter a new room (e.g. hjfvsjhvdb)
2. In that room post a tweet (e.g. https://twitter.com/FenneciOS/status/578405127326937088)
3. Observe the tab throbber start spinning forever
Flags: needinfo?(past)
Ok, yes, I am able to reproduce this with given STR's. Thanks, :past. I'll figure out when it regressed.

Last known good Nightly build was 20140212030201. The first broken Nightly build was 20140213030201. Broken build works correctly if e10s is disabled.

push log for that regression window: http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?fromchange=802d87c77e76&tochange=a62bde1d6efe

This isn't related to the tab-switch spinner it seems.
No longer blocks: e10s-spinner
Tried to fix that in bug 1075122 before.

Florin, Cornel,

I'll take the qe-verify here. I already have it all set up to reproduce.

I was able to reproduce this with Firefox Nightly from April 5, on Windows 7 x64, and scenario from comment 9. The issue no longer shows on Windows 7 x64, Mac OS X 10.9.5 and Ubuntu 13.04 x64, when using the latest Firefox 40 Nightly or 41 Dev Edition. Now the loading throbber shows only briefly, and then the favicon is displayed.
