Step II :- In address bar try to search for some word let say "test123" (as i am using google as default search engine it is redirecting me on there web page). Step III:- in Google search field search for some other key work let say "i am testing". Step IV:- Once you land to some other page how hit back button top left of window. Step V:- There it is the Google search bar don't appear at the top position where it was when we initiated the search but it appear in center. Please ignore it if this is an false Alarm Actual results: The actual result should be that the search bar should properly get displayed at the top and not in center. If i go to Google.com and try to regenerate the same it is not happening. The same thing i am not able to generate with crome or IE.

Yes i am able to reproduce this at my end
Can you test: 1) in safe mode: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode 2) with a clean profile: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles Same behavior in both cases?

Still not able to reproduce it on my side. Did you test with a clean profile? In addition, type about:support in the location bar and paste the "graphics" section, please.

In fact, could you provide all of the about:support info? There might also be add-ons at play. Basically, at this point, we need to figure out why it breaks in your main profile and not in a clean one...

Confirming per dupe. I suspect this might be a google issue to do with them a/b testing search or something, and perhaps that explains why this is not reproducible everywhere.

I was able to click and type into the search bar and the suggested results list still works well. The box only moves back to the top after I pressed the Enter button.

Karl, do we have contacts at Google with whom we can raise this? It looks like this is cookie-dependent, considering it doesn't reproduce for some people, and for those for whom it does reproduce, it goes away in private browsing. I suspect Google are A/B testing changes to their search page (in fact, I'd be surprised if they didn't do so continuously...) and that there's a bug in whatever those affected by this issue are being served.

I to can reproduce it but with clean profile it is not reproducible. To figure out which mismatch of CSS and JS properties create this issues. It's what we do in Web compatibility very often to figure out if it's a bug with Firefox or with the site using specific properties. Now if you consider it's because of AB testing, not sure it's worth contacting anyone, given that most of the time bugs take weeks to months to solve or not being solved at all. :) see http://www.otsukare.info/2014/10/28/google-webcompatibility-bugs-list

I'm going to just blithely assume that this is a tech evangelism issue - without more details there is essentially nothing we can do here. If anyone reproducing this is a web dev and can investigate what exactly google is doing and/or create a reduced testcase, that would be super helpful.
