Are buchets right for this, or should we consider implementing minimum requirements, as has been discussed before? These would be similar to buchets, only instead of boolean, we would allow developers to specify minimums, maximums, or a range. This scales better from RAM to things like screen sizes, processor speed, etc.

The idea is to keep a small scope at first - just implement what we need for a couple partner apps - so we are only going to do one "512MB or more required" buchet for now. This definitely won't scale, but it should be possible to migrate from this to a more complex system afterwards.
