Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:33.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/33.0 Build ID: 20141106120505 Steps to reproduce: Create a bookmark for a webpage that doesn't have a favicon. Actual results: The bookmark displays with the default no-icon icon. And there is no option to choose an icon. Expected results: There should be a way to assign an icon of the users choosing to bookmarks. This is most important for bookmarks that would have no icon by default. But it might as well be an option for all bookmarks.

YF, I'm not convinced that this is a duplicate. The other bug you reference talks specifically about bookmark *folders* and mentions an Extension for setting favicons. What I'm recommending here is that Firefox support user-specified icons for folders AND links natively without requiring an extension.
