Right now there's essentially no way the user knows to go to "about:passwords" to see their stuff. We might want to consider a way to advertise this feature a bit or just simply provide better UX for getting to "about:passwords".
I think adding a "Passwords" item in Settings > Privacy would work. This aligns with Robin's ideas on how to re-org the menus and it's where we already have other password related actions.

Tapping "Passwords" would open "about:passwords" in the browser. We already do this for "About Firefox" and other items in Settings.
I definitely agree with that.

But this was more about figuring out how to draw a connection for the user after the fact that they hit "Save Password", and the door hanger closes. I.e. how do they know to go into settings to look for Passwords.

That being said, maybe we don't need to change anything in that door hanger, but I thought I'd file this to track any work there in case we needed to.
Is this still something we would want to do? I feel like our doorhanger UI has evolved since this bug was filed, such that we can just WONTFIX this.

During the Passwords user study, we learned that most people feel a lot more comfortable using a password manager (and autofilling) if they can see where the passwords are stored (word doc, etc) and know how it got there. We talked about adding more transparency when saving passwords (maybe a contextual hint?) that would point users to about:logins, so it doesn't seem as black-boxed to them and they are more comfortable using it.

I think things like "Select another login" and showing "user@email.com" when Saving a login are steps in the right direction.

I feel like we could still do more in terms of surfacing the "about:logins" page to our users but I'm content with letting these new features/updates ride for a bit before doing anything more. So, I'm ok with WONTFIX-ing this right now.

Bug 1144430 may also help with the discovery of the "Key" icon that gives about:logins more visibility.
