1098382 - "Suggested Donation" doesn't sound right, once it's an item in your shopping basket (making it an *actual* donation)

I picked $15 of donation and it appears in the shopping basket/checkout as "Suggested Donation". I think "Donation" is what it is. "Suggested" implies intent of something future to come or something.

While I'm here: to clarify, are you saying it sounds like "Someone suggested that we should ask for donations, so this is the spot reserved for that suggested 'donation' item."?

Personally, I'm not too concerned that people would interpret it as that... "Suggested donation" is a common enough phrase with a pretty well-defined meaning ("This is how much we suggest that you donate").  It conveys a slight amount of social pressure while still sounding polite & optional.

I think it should be called "Suggested Donation" *before* it's been put in my basket. 

E.g. "Suggested Donation: |____________\/|"  (that's meant to be an ascii drop-down)

Then when I have selected $15 it's no longer a suggestion. It's an "Donation". It feels like it makes more sense to call it "1 t-shirt XL, $15 Donation".

Perhaps I'm splitting hairs. It was just a gutteraly feeling that tasted bad so I thought I'd share.

Ah, my mistake -- I agree with you. (Obsoleting comment 1, since it's a tangent from me misunderstanding, & tweaking summary to make the issue clearer.)
