Overview Description: Scrolling bookmarks resizes scrollbar & thumb incorrectly Steps to Reproduce: 1) Launch Apprunner on Linux6 or MacOS 2) Open "Manage Bookmarks" from Bookmarks menu. 3) Grab the thumb and scroll down. Actual Results: The thumb and scrollbar area (including the scroll arrows) will shorten up to about 2/3 the original area. Expected Results: Scrollbar and thumb should remain the same size as they originally were. Build Date & Platform Bug Found: Linux6 & MacOS 1999073008 build Additional Builds and Platforms Tested On: WinNT 1999073011 build Additional Information: bugzilla 6807 depends on this bug for verification.
the bookmarks view window is testing out gtk widgetry, guess it's not quite right yet. I'm really just cc'ing myself.

Should be fixed when gfx scrollbars land in early m10
but those already are gfx scrollbars, right? Or are you saying that when gfx scrollbars land app wide(early M10 you say) they will be fixed to work properly and these will benefit from those fixes?
Nope the only scrollbars that are gfx are scrollbars you create via: <scrollbar/> in xul. Anything else is native at the moment. But they will be gfx real soon.

My hands have deteriorated to the point where I can no longer type. I need help. If you think you can fix this bug on your own, please take it away from me. If you'd like to volunteer to be my hands for a specific bug, then I'll be happy to come up to your cube and sit with you and fix the bug (assuming you have the patience for that).
trying to help hyatt out: the gfx scrollbar seems to be behaving correctly on linux in the bookmark menus and the messenger thread pane...the scrollbar itself is sized correctly, the thumb is usually a little bit bigger (say, 20-40%) than it should be.

I don't see this anymore on either platform with the 1999092608 builds. Beware of bug 14812 when verifying.
