Details

I noticed while testing with a 60fps youtube video file that I get some sort of small jumps or micro stutter or framedrops. Hard to tell what exactly. When I play with a media player using EVR/VMR9/madVR the video is completely smooth. Since it happens when I download the stream and have it play with Firefox by dropping on it's window it seems quite certain it's not a network related issue.
Feels more like a problem of whatever renderer Firefox is using.

Most noticeable if you focus on the fencing from 00:46-01:00

(BTW, Chrome's not smooth either)
Here's the downloaded stream itself:

I experience the issue as well.
Probably a duplicate of bug 1091407

Doesn't look like that to me. What's described there are blatant hangs and such. This isn't as obvious
Plus this happens for local files too, so no youtube, web streaming or MSE required.
By the way. With that video (after downloading the stream), with the shaky camera it's harder to tell, but it does seem to be affected by this bug.
Component: Audio/Video → Audio/Video: Playback
Can you still reproduce the issue in nightly?
Doesn't seem like it. It seems rather smooth now.
