Steps to reproduce:

This bug appears unpredicted on openSUSE 13.1 when:
1) Firefox launched;
2) some URL or just any text copied in a clipboard;
3) serf the Internet.



Actual results:

A redirect happens to a web-page with another URL.


Expected results:

There should not be redirecting to another page.

I expect you're hitting the middle mouse button without meaning to. Try turning off the following pref in about:config:

middlemouse.contentLoadURL

(doubleclick it to set it to false)

I tried hitting the middle mouse button with both turned on and turned off middlemouse.contentLoadURL, but/and there are not described above behavior. So it happens very rarely.

now I see that I can paste text by pressing the middle mouse button only in input fields of forms on web-pages.

Marking the bug as duplicate of 1098054. Although the reported problems differ slightly, the cause is probably the same. In either case, the information provided is insufficient for us to go any further.
