110027 - 'list of messages' panels are empty, in both mail and news

Problem occurs with nightly build 11-13. Data is not lost or destroyed; when I
switch back to using original 9.5.0 (instead of the yesterday's nightly) the
upper right panel ("subject", "sender", etc.) looks fine, and messages can be
selected/manipulated.
  The nightly build does show correct message counts for the mail folders (5
standard folders in each of 2 POP accounts), and also the correct header counts
for the netscape.public.mozilla groups on news.mozilla.org. 
Note that I have switched back to 0.9.5 20011011 for entering this bug. The
problem is with 20011113 0.9.5+.
