Reproduced intermittently with Firefox 34 beta 9 under Win 7 64-bit. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open WebIDE using a profile where simulators were previously installed 2. Connect to any simulator 3. Add, open and debug different hosted or packaged apps 4. Disconnect Expected results: Simulators are correctly closed Actual results: Sometimes, the pop-up "Plugin Container for B2G has stopped working" with options Close and Search for an online solution is displayed.
Unless we can narrow this down to a more specific set of steps, I don't know if there's much we can do. Petruta, any idea?
Ryan, I just tried again using Firefox 36 beta 10 under Win 7 64-bit. I opened the build with a clean profile, went to WebIDE and installed all the simulators at the same time. Then, I selected 1.3 simulator and debugged Clock app on it. Without closing the simulator window, I selected 1.4 simulator. From "Open app" drop down I selected Browser app, and debugged the main page (select some tabs from app console too). Same as above, without closing 1.4 simulator window, I selected 2.0 simulator - the "Plugin Container for B2G has stopped working" window appeared on the screen.
I encounter same problem. After working with WebIDE (open, debug, run app) then Disconnect Firefox Simulator 2.0 Runtime from WbIDE and after closing Simulator windows show popup error " Plugin Container for B2g has stop working " with this More info ----> " More Info: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: plugin-container.exe Application Version: 188.8.131.5274 Application Timestamp: 541a9516 Fault Module Name: mozalloc.dll Fault Module Version: 184.108.40.20674 Fault Module Timestamp: 541a9293 Exception Code: 80000003 Exception Offset: 0000141b OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Read our privacy statement online: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104288&clcid=0x0409 If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt " OS: Window 7-32bit Firefox: Firefox Portable 38.0
WebIDE is slated for removal (bug 1314811), so there are no plans to add to the current set of features.
