VERIFIED DUPLICATE of bug 37867

People

(Reporter: jelwell, Assigned: hewitt)

Details

On IE if I type "yahoo" in the url bar and then hit "Ctrl-Enter" it wraps
http:// .com/ around the item, and begins to load the URL.

Mozilla could do this pretty easily.

These two bugs aren't really the same. I'm calling for a duplication of what IE
does, and bug 37867 is asking for a generic fix for easier access to domain
names. Point: if 37867 was simply asking for the ctrl-enter feature it'd already
be done. but instead it's asking for discussion for a better system.
I've duped this to bug 37867 because of bug 110042.

If you disagree with dupe of bug 37867, you can always dupe it to bug 110042 :-)
