Netscape6/6.5

If you set an automatic proxy and then change to direction connection Mozilla
will continue to use the automatic proxy till you clear the automatic proxy
textbox and restart Mozilla.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set an automatic proxy
2. Change to direct connection
Actual Results: It still uses the automatic proxy
Expected Results: It should stop using the proxy and directly access the network.

Invoking secret signals of the PAC order and shortening the summary; I'll go
test this out.
QA Contact: benc → pacqa
Summary: If a automatic proxy is set you must clear the textbox and restart mozilla to disable it → PAC: must clear the textbox and restart mozilla to disable automatic proxy

WFM 20011114 linux trunk CVS build.
Your BuildID looks like it's missing a digit or two... I assume it's from the
middle of October?
Try this with a recent nightly and see if the problem still occurs.
"secret signals?" I'll publish the PAC bug management bureacracy to mozilla.org
soon. Then it can be everyone's secret :)

I have seen weirdness where a failed PAC has caused the window to go deaf (i.e.,
if you do new window, everything works in the new window.
You need to log in
