I open a new tab and have a url copied by marking to load it in the new tab.
But there is an "about:blank" in the new url-field, so I have to jump in this
field and delete every single char with my backspace-key.
Marking is copying, so my copied url is AWAY if i mark it to delete it in one step.

Steps to Reproduce:
Open a new tab and try it

Expected Results:  URL-field should be "" not "about:blank"

Build ID: 2001 11 14 03. Windows 2000.

If I open a new tab (Ctrl+T) the URL field becomes empty.
However, if I select the first tab and then the new one,
the URL field says "about:blank".

Although this new tab stuff is very slick, it has obviously introduced
all kinds of side effects. Feature Creep, IMHO. Resources would have been
spent better fixing bugs in existing functionality, rather than introducing
new functionality and new bugs.

svante, you're right that there's too much feature creep lately.  See
http://www.mozilla.org/roadmap/mozilla-1.0.html.  This has to stop.  I'm
confirming this bug, btw, but I don't think hyatt should spend time  on it.  If
that means it doesn't get fixed, and that tabbrowser is too unpolished for 1.0,
then we'll have to turn off tabbrowser.

I think this should not be such a big problem to fix this little bug.
It's a greater work to kick the tab-browser out of the project than fixing the
problem.

Thank you for fixing this bug, it increases the handling of Mozilla. The
tab-browser does a better job now.
