capitalized HEAD element causes data loss in composer

enter the following html in html source mode of the editor:
<html><head></head>
<body><p>
test
</p></body>
</html>
click on normal tab for normal view with editor, anf then go back to html source
mode. Everything looks fine.
Now change the <head> and </head> to capitals; <HEAD> and </HEAD> and add or
change some of the content in the body mode.
Click on the Normal view tab, and then back to html source tab, data was lost.

The issue here seems to be that the head tag is only recognized if the case is
all lower-case:
var beginHead = htmlSource.indexOf("<head");

the capitalized <HEAD></HEAD> is converted to lowercase, and there's no longer
dataloss. vrfy'd with 2003.02.19 on linux rh8.0.
