User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:33.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/33.0 Build ID: 20141013200257 Steps to reproduce: Not sure if FxOS general is the right component for 'enhancement'. I would like a "https only" mode for the entire phone. I discussed this with some mozilla_de persons on saturday (firefox app dev day - it rocks) who put it in their list. Example: Press power button, you have a https only mode button. Once pressed only https connections are allowed. Actual results: Product enhancement Expected results: Product enhancement Example: Press power button, you have a https only mode button. Once pressed only https connections are allowed.
Another reason is: in my desktop I use the https-everywhere addon. Since addons cannot be installed in firefox phone this would be a viable temporary option. Of course in the long term you could add the list of advertising/tracking sites from disconnect.me (http://bit.ly/15dn05y). Not sure if the phone vendors are happy with this!
I feel this will break a lot of things and not worth the candle. More worth the wait is bug 904919 & bug 938559.
