User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.10; rv:33.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/33.0 Build ID: 20141030112145 Steps to reproduce: Long story short, I lost my iPhone 3gs which was linked to my gmail account 2-step verification that I used for accessing my Mozillian and Rep persona accounts. I tried to get my old number from that phone switched to my new phone but my network provider wouldn't do that so I had no way of accessing my old email account. Actual results: I can't access my old persona account as I need Google to send a verification code to me to access it but as my lost mobile phone's number is inaccessible I can't get the verification code. Expected results: I would like to be able to give you my new old email account and some details that will help provide proof of my accounts and that I am who I say I am. Old email account: scseancollins@gmail.com Link to Mozillian Account: https://mozillians.org/en-US/u/SeanC/ Mentor Name: Rubén Martín Mentor Email: nukeador@mozilla-hispano.org I'm also a part of the Mozilla Ireland Community: http://mozillaireland.org/author/scsean/. The Contributor Engagement Manager at Mozilla Corporation Brian King will also vouch for me you can get in contact with him here: bking@mozilla.com And a fellow Mozilla Rep and friend Stephen Murphy can also vouch for me too: stephen.jd.murphy@gmail.com
Oh no :( Since we delegate all @gmail.com accounts on Persona to Google's OpenID gateway, we don't have any way to fix this on the Persona side -- you'd have to regain access to the Google account, probably by filling out the Account Recovery Form mentioned on https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185834?hl=en#phone On the Reps and Mozillian sides, the admins of those sites should be able to update the email address associated with your account on their end... though I'm not sure who to CC in that regard.

Cheers for the reply Dan, yeh I'm not too worried about getting back my old gmail, I'd like to just change my current Rep/Mozillian email details to my new email address. I actually tried multiple times to get the Account recovered from Google but they just kept saying I wasn't giving enough information... -_-. I also spent a large amount of time with my network provider trying to get my old number switched to my new phone but they dragged their feet claiming that the number wasn't registered to my name. Yeh I'm wondering who to cc into the bug myself too. I'll maybe jump on the IRC or ask my mentor maybe.
Sean, I would keep trying to get the gmail account back. Didn't you print the one-time-use codes for the two factor auth? There is no way to find out who your phone was registered to? Maybe a family member?

Maybe a family > member? Hi Rubén, unfortunately I never printed those back when I created the account stupidly enough. Yeh I spent about two, three weeks back and forth to the phone company but they wouldn't give out the information. :/. I've created a new persona account is there anyway of transferring the new email to my old account? If not I suppose I can just create a new Mozillian account again and then my Rep account too.
I can vouch for Sean on this. We tried to recover his account a few times over the past month and have come up short between his number issue and gmail issue. Best to just start fresh now that he has a new number and google account in his name. Can we hand off his old persona/mozillians/remo details to his new email. Might be manual but we dont want to leave him without his old vouches, posts and remo reports. -Stephen
Flagged for more info. lets get Sean back in action.

I can edit the Reps profile and change the email. CC'ing devs just in case there are other considerations to have before doing this, and also about how to solve it for mozillians too.

:Nukeador editing the email fields in the ReMo portal should be enough. Regarding mozillians.org all we need is the email address that we should change the profile to. CC'ing also :williamr

Clearing needinfo. Confirming that changing the email address on the end-user sites is probably the best-possible option from the Persona dev standpoint.

Sean, I've changed your Reps profile emails. Check if you can log in using Persona.

Hi Rubén, yep I'm able to access it my Reps Profile again :) Thanks so much :). All that's left is my Mozillian profile but I guess I was more interested in getting my Reps profile back though. Thanks to everyone for helping out :)

I have updated your Mozillian profile, so you should now be able to login using the email associated with your Bugzilla account. Thanks for keeping your profiles up to date!
