So this has happened like 32 times in the last week compared to 35 in the previous 4 months, with most of the former coming in the last two days. I don't think that the tests changed in that time, so I wonder if gecko or the environment changed? (it might just be that the tests need a longer timeout and we had a slight perf regression or something).

This is almost certainly an MSE or Media bug that somebody should look at. Let's get it on the radar, but I'm working on other things at the moment.
