Version: 0.9.4 milestone release and 0.9.5 milestone release (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.5) Gecko/20011012) The following steps lead reproducibly to a crash: open bookmarks open manage bookmarks make a new separator cut some folder move to the new separator try to paste the folder => crash I tried this several times with two folders and two positions of the new separator. If the bug cannot be reproduced with a different bookmark file, I can send it.

Works for me on 2001111603 on Win2K. Petr, please use a talkback build and post the talkback crash id number.
Reporter: 0.9.5 is old. Please try a more recent build: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest/mozilla-i686-pc-linux-gnu-sea.tar.gz (as always, be sure to delete your old Mozilla directory before installing the new one) Then, if you get a crash, please post the Talkback ID here. (you can get the talkback id by running <moz-dir>/bin/components/talkback)

E-mail from the reporter: > The crash in 0.9.5 disappeared after some time of using it. > Possibly, it was a residue from 0.9.4, since I did not delete .mozilla > directory before installation of 0.9.5. Sorry for that. > > In 0.9.4, the crash may still be reproduced, even if it is installed > with .mozilla deleted. (Reporter: In future, please use the url you see in each e-mail to reply) So, marking WFM.

This bug was fixed by 96824. Browser crash because folder be pasted twice. If you paste a folder to item which under root. Like a bookmark or a separator. The root will be pasted in root also. So display can not handle this execption...... This is the reason, I think.
