I don't even see this happening for windows with only 1 tab back in the middle of February.

Do you have any more specific clue as to when this regressed?

Unfortunately I don't know regression range and I'm not the original reporter so I can't even do a simple STR. Sorry.

No STR and IIUC, the addon in question was updated to work around what ever issue there was.
