User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:34.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/34.0 Build ID: 20141126041045 Steps to reproduce: When I try to play a video in YouTube I get a black box where the video should be. A yellow band across the top says, "The Adobe Flash Player has crashed" along with buttons to reload the page or to submit a crash report. If I submit a crash report, the report is sent then the page resets and the browser locks up for a time then the messages start all over again. An endless loop. With the Quick Time Plug-in I followed your advice and went to the Apple Events page and tried to run one of their videos. It took probably a minute to load and start running. When it did start running, it was so slow and jerky that it couldn’t be watched. All of this was working fine just a few days ago. I was counting my blessings that I hadn’t had any problems watching videos in months. Now this. Expected results: The videos should run as a matter of course.
Adobe Flash player updated yesterday and now I can watch YouTube videos, etc. Quick Time is still very jerky and unwatchable. Also, clicking on a link in an email (Thunderbird) does not activate a new tab in FF. When I click on a link, Thunderbird loses focus as if FF is trying to come forward but nothing else happens.
We're very sorry you're having issues with Firefox, but this isn't a support forum. You'd be better off asking your questions at https://support.mozilla.org/ instead. As it is, the best I can recommend is for you to go to "Troubleshooting Information" in the Help menu, and use the "Refresh Firefox" feature there ( https://support.mozilla.org/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems ). Be aware that this will back up all your data, and then create a new profile for you, re-importing your bookmarks, passwords and history, but not your add-ons or changed options. If you need more help, please ask on the support pages.
