Details
This bug is super annoying when e.g. one is trying to move the window to one side so that one can read the browser window while interacting with a different application (e.g. for transcribing text).
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open firefox; take note of the position it chooses for the window.
2. Move firefox window to a new position (preferably by a large amount to make the effect obvious); for example, move it down and to the right by 100 pixels.
3. Drag edge of window to resize it; either the left, right, or bottom edges make the bad behavior most obvious.
4. Observe the window jump back to the position that it was in when you first opened Firefox.
(argh ... a few hours later, I cannot reproduce... still trying to see if I can work out what changed between then and now...)

Yeah, I've never seen this before... possibly add-on related, or third party software - or, if you're using nightly (please specify what version you're on next time you file something :-) ), an update.
In the meantime, did you ever see this again?

No, I haven't seen it since.
I guess this bug can/should be closed.
