User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:34.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/34.0 Build ID: 20141127111021 Steps to reproduce: 1) Single click on the new search input field 2) Type a few letters 3) Hover your mouse over the previous letters 4) Single click on a letter/word Actual results: Box with the search suggestions and one click engines gets hidden Expected results: Text courser should be moved to the clicked position and the box should not disappear

Hello, that the suggestions get hidden is the normal behavior of this field. you can see this on all Versions of Firefox. but I can confirm, that the click is no more moving to the position that you click on.

Not a regression caused by the new search UI; I've just verified that the bug can also be reproduced with the old UI. The same bug also exists with the location bar.
