What was the URL of this error page? It looks like an error page for an add-on that you installed, and without information about which add-on/url it is, it's not possible to do more here - in any case, if the add-on's website is broken, there is not much Firefox can do about that...

I didn't look to see what the URL was, because I was re-installing Firefox and I assumed it was one of those pages welcoming me which I had seen before and so I didn't bother to look at it again. I do remember, however, that I closed all open tabs in quick (because I was in a hurry) succession (because I wanted a clean start), but I didn't bother to close that welcoming page (because I assumed it would not re-appear like it normally doesn't after I close Firefox) (I have set Firefox to start with the open tabs from last time). I think that the welcoming page was not an external page (on the web), but generated internally by one of the add-ons.
I hope this helps.

Greetings,
I had this error page pop up after FF upgraded to version 36.0.1. The error page I saw was the same as Humphrey's and the URL is http://ppclick.com/optin.aspx?addon=ieview so it looks like it is referring to the IE View add-on. I have version 1.5.6 of that installed. I'll remove it, restart FF and see what happens.

Hello,
I can reproduce the bug on Firefox Nightly,
The Steps are:
1. Install Firefox Nightly version "Windows 64 Bits Standard" (https://nightly.mozilla.org/).
2. Go to : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/
3. In the "search for addons" search "IE view"
4. Select "IE View" from list result, version 1.5.6 and Click on: "+ Add To Firefox"
5. Select Install
6. Select Restart
Result:
After of restart, the " http://ppclick.com/optin.aspx?addon=ieview " appears.

I informed the developer. However, the add-ons seem abandoned, so I wouldn't hold my breath.
There's nothing left to do here. We will downgrade the add-on eventually if it isn't fixed.
