Details
(Whiteboard: [closeme 2015-10-20])
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:34.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/34.0
Build ID: 20141125180439
Steps to reproduce:
I have this issue since upgrading/updating Firefox to version 33.
I have several Firefox installations synched on desktop PCs.
Actual results:
Each time Firefox is updated/upgraded to a new minor or major version, it uninstalls addons, or something else does.
It is about more 30 addons (I have usually 128...) which disappear spontaneously, without any warning.
As I have FEBE, I could restore them easily, as all the addons are copied in a backup folder, but it is annoying and harder under Linux (there I must add ona by one, Firefox under KDE takes only the first addon in the list of drag and drop).
Expected results:
Obviously, no addons should have been uninstalled, at least not without asking first.

Being synched, the uninstall is propagated if I don't manage the addons in time.
I am admin on all the PC in question.
It could be an issue with your profile. Did you test to update a clean profile (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles) with only 2 or 3 add-ons installed?
FF33 is available here: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/33.1.1/

I already have 34.0, but I have seen 34.0.5, which is released earlier, although it seems newer...

Yes, the idea is that you could put the copy of 33.1.1 somewhere else, create a new profile, add only a few add-ons, then update that new profile to 34 and see if you can reproduce.
Alternatively, you could create a copy of the original profile and see if you can narrow down (using this update path) which add-ons are related to (other) add-ons being removed.
As it is, I am not aware of any code in Firefox which is /supposed/ to remove add-ons after an upgrade... disable add-ons that are incompatible, yes, but not remove outright. So it seems more likely this is related to one of your 128 add-ons...
