User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:34.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/34.0 Build ID: 20141125180439 Steps to reproduce: Flash is in the "Ask to activate" mode. Visit some page with Flash content (ie speedtest.net) in the Private Mode. Actual results: While a web page with Flash content is loading, Flash content on a page is loaded and rendered for a short time, then "Ask to activate" placeholders appear. Whether Flash content is a streaming media player, then the network load generated by such a player is visible despite "Ask to activate" placeholder. In the Private Mode I can reproduce the behavior on each browser restart, in normal mode I can't (not sure, if it is not present or it's too quick). Expected results: I suppose, Flash content should not be loaded upfront.

When you say "private mode" do you just mean "private window", or are you restarting Firefox with history disabled ? Can you reproduce this on a clean profile? ( https://support.mozilla.org/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles ) (I can't reproduce this in a private window using Firefox 35 rc on my mac - but it could be that either this was fixed in 35, or only happens on Windows?)

Wayne, guys, sorry for delay with my answer. I was on the road. As for the bug: 1. When I say "private mode", I mean "private window" (ctrl+shift+p). 2. The bug persist in 35. 3. I face with the bug on two machines (both Win 7 Pro, x64, Intel i3 and DC E6600). 4. Unfortunately, I can't find a way to reproduce it. It reappears time to time, but I can't find strong correlation with network latency, CPU or memory use, or specific website. When I was reporting this bug, it persisted through browser restarts, but not anymore. I have tried to create a simple test page with multiple Flash objects with autoplay, but fails to reproduce the bug. I would believe that it's some local interference with my environment or plugins, but I use a few, and face with the behavior on separate machines. So, let the bug remain 'incomplete' until I can provide more details. Thanks.
Here is the page: http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/08/21/us-china-economy-pmi-idUSKCN0QQ05H20150821 Here is how it looks while loading: https://youtu.be/Qe1cszLf4o0 I am not sure, that this is a Flash content displayed (since it does not autostarts, so maybe this is some preview), but the page does not have such an image in the Media section of Page Info.
