Steps to reproduce:
Open the following PDF using Firefox' internal PDF viewer: http://www.seiko-instruments.de/files/ltpvseries.pdf
Actual results:
The typesetting is very poor, the glyphs are rendered too bold and sometimes are connected - which makes it very hard to read.
Evince and Adobe Acrobat Reader render the PDF fine (screenshot attached).
Expected results:
Some result as with Evince & AcroRead
It's fine for me with FF34 on Win7 and HWA enabled. But with HWA disabled, the rendering is bad with low space between letters.
I guess your Linux machine has no HWA with Firefox.

Reproduced with Nightly 38.0a1 2014-01-21 under Win 7 64-bit with HWA disabled.

I can this bug, 7 years after it was reported, no longer reproduce.
