Thanks for filing this bug, Christina!
The questions we really need to understand about communications needs around the Fx OS TV and other CES-related messaging are:
1. Audience/Who will see this page/How will they get to the page:
2. Primary Message/what is the most important thing for someone to learn from this page:
3. Secondary Messages:
4. Required images:
5. Panasonic logo? yes or no?
We are on a very tight deadline for this page - I'll ask Mike Alexis to provide a link to the schedule, but to have this page live for January 4 (the Panasonic announcement) we need to have these questions answered and a kick off meeting to understand any outstanding questions tomorrow.
Thanks!!!

Jen,
1. Audience/Who will see this page/How will they get to the page:
This page will be for people within the mobile phone industry and the TV industry. It will also be of interest to journalists (secondary) and end-users who would like to know more (tertiary).
2. Primary Message/what is the most important thing for someone to learn from this page:
Firefox OS has launched on a new form factor - TVs.
3. Secondary Messages:
The Panasonic TV will be available to buy later this year.
4. Required images:
Just the TV. When do we need to get to you?
5. Panasonic logo? yes or no?
No

Here's a first pass at this copy:
[HEADLINE]
Firefox OS goes beyond the smartphone
[SUBHEAD]
We're bringing the power of the open Web to Panasonic televisions later this year.
[COPY]
It's not just a phone operating system on a bigger screen. It's a whole new experience that brings your television to life and gives you a new level of choice and control.
There really isn't much to draw on, so let me know if there's anything else specific we'd like to say.

I've been talking to Erica on the first pass of the PR message so she should have it very soon for everyone to start building things on top.
We will have to see the PR message from Erica but I suggest that we make it sound bigger, like Mozilla is continuing to expand into areas beyond smartphones and TV is one of our first projects but definitely not limited to TVs. I think it will be valuable to generate industry excitement for TV, smart monitor device makers ...etc basically device with screens

Thanks Hunter for these screenshots.
Are these the only images we have to showcase the UI right now? Is there a screenshot showing the UI integrated with a tv show or movie perhaps?

Yes there are more, but we are wondering the copyright for the content issue. Basically anything we have in the proposal video we have the design. But the thing is, all those logos and contents (from TV channel and app provider) we need to figure out if we can show it or not.
Please take a look of the proposal video we did for Smart Screen UI in this link:
https://drive.google.com/a/mozilla.com/folderview?id=0B5RN80W56Ga9Tk5Qc1NTNzNyNDA&usp=sharing_eid
There are 2 videos:
1. Home and Dashboard
2. Apps (also marketplace) and TV, and user can pin specific item to home for personalization and quick access. (items including specific channels, input sources, apps, and web bookmarks)
I believe you will have many great thoughts when you see the video.

Hi Christina, Joe, Mike, and Hunter-
Ty has designed a page for CES in collaboration with John B and Natalia. You can view it here:

What should the HTML page title be? Are we able to refer to "Firefox OS TV" or is there an official product name?
For now, I'll just use the headline as the page title ("Firefox OS goes beyond the smartphone").

I would probably do something like this:
Firefox OS — Beyond smartphones — The open Web on Panasonic TVs — Mozilla
"Beyond smartphones" is how the PMM team is talking about this broadly.

The best one to use is "Home" but will let you have a play with the different options.

Thanks, these images look great. I have a few quick questions:
1. Are they ready to incorporate into the page now, or are there any other updates coming?
2. We have three images in the slide-show on the page now, but four have been provided. Should we add the fourth image (the 'devices' screen), or stick with the updated versions of the three we already have?
3. Should the order of the images stay as it is on the demo site now [1], or should the "Home" image be the first/default?
4. There was mention in an email thread of linking to a CES video. Is this to be part of this new page? If so, I would need that information right away.
Ty: I can incorporate these updated images directly - no need to go through your Photoshop mockup phase.

Steven,
See inline.
1. Are they ready to incorporate into the page now, or are there any other updates coming?
No more updates, we're good to go.
2. We have three images in the slide-show on the page now, but four have been provided. Should we add the fourth image (the 'devices' screen), or stick with the updated versions of the three we already have?
Stick with the three.
3. Should the order of the images stay as it is on the demo site now [1], or should the "Home" image be the first/default?
Good catch - let's have the "home" image as the first.
4. There was mention in an email thread of linking to a CES video. Is this to be part of this new page? If so, I would need that information right away.
We can add in early January once this initial page is up.

I suggest that we also add the devices screen as there are some interconnectivity stories in our own version of the CES video that we'd like to show case. Therefore, the devices screen will make sense to include

Btw, i think it will make sense to have localized version of this page to go along with our localized PR message. What do you think?
Thanks

Steven - as per the last comment let's have the 4 images for the slide show, not 3.
Joe - what languages? Japanese for the local market end-users? Mandarin for potential OEMs?

Mandarin = zh-CN, zh-TW, both?
What's the expected life-time of this page? Because zh-CN is usually quite slow in translating content for mozilla.org.

Japanese for our partner's local market and zh-CN / zh-TW for potential OEMs seem like a good start
If we feel there are other markets that makes sense, feel free to add.

Life expectancy:
Minimum is 1 week (for the CES show)
Max is probably 2 months (through MWC)
But I'll let John reply as well.
Comment 41•11 years ago

The page will be live until at least the end of March, post-MWC, so that is at least 3 months. Then, it is likely we'll have another look, revise, and keep this page live throughout 2015. Let's get the localisation done in the timeframes that are possible.

Thanks, it definitely makes sense to localize the page then.
Can the text currently available on demo1 be considered final?

I have some changes to make, but the only string change would be the addition of "View screenshot 4".
We already have:
View screenshot 1
View screenshot 2
View screenshot 3
The string is the alt text for the thumbnail images that swap out the larger screenshot image. I'm open to suggestions for a more generic string that would work for all four images.

Would it be bad to simply use "View this screenshot"?

Does it even need to have "view" in it? It could just be "Screenshot" or "Screenshot 1–4."

I've just got with "Screenshot" and pushed the branch to github (https://github.com/mozilla/bedrock/tree/bug-1108632-fx-os-tv). Strings should be frozen - if you know otherwise, please speak up.
