User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0
Build ID: 20141207004006
Steps to reproduce:
I use the latest version of Firefox Developer Edition. The problem occures only sometimes when I'm using a different window (not Firefox) and then return to Firefox DE. I have tried to recreate the problem without result, it seems to be random.
Actual results:
The window doesn't respond to anything; not the website, tabs, bookmarks, pressed keys... Only when I change focus to some other window (like netbeans) and then change focus back to Firefox. Then it works perfect.
Expected results:
The browser should respond...
I might have found the reason, when I have focus to a different window and change to a tab that hasn't been used for a while. So I change focus to Firefox at the same time as I change tab. The browser then respond as good as if it was a picture and when I change focus to a different window and then back to Firefox it also change the tab.

Just doing this (I'm assuming you're clicking the unused tab) doesn't reproduce the issue for me. Does this always happen when you do this, or only with some tabs, or after leaving Firefox running for a longer amount of time?

It's only unused tabs and only sometimes. It seems to happen when I havn't used the specific tab for a longer time.
I susspect that the browser stores tabs that hasn't been used for a while in the harddrive to save RAM, if previous guessing is correct, the loading might happen in the wrong ordering, so that the browser first try to accessing the tab in the RAM-memory (that currently isn't there) and then moving it from the harddrive to the RAM-memory, and therefore, it's only possible to access the tabs on the second try (just guessings).

Hi Sebastian,
I have tested your issue on latest Firefox Developer Edition release (45.0a2) and I could reproduce it. From a different window, I returned on a Firefox browser tab that hasn't been used for a while and the browser worked properly.
Firefox: 45.0a2, Build ID: 20160104004010, User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0
Can you please test this on the latest Firefox Developer Edition release (45.0a2) and tell me if this still reproduces for you ? When doing this please use a new fresh Firefox profile, maybe also in safe mode (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems). Sometimes this kind of issues could appear when using custom settings, themes or some addons.
Thanks,
Cosmin
