User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:34.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/34.0 Build ID: 20141126041045 Steps to reproduce: Firefox updated itself to 34.0.5 Actual results: When I went onto netflix to watch something the screen just goes blank, no video plays Expected results: It should have played..
I have this same issue. I just restarted my computer to install updates. Netflix was working fine before then. As soon as I re-opened Firefox, Netflix videos would go to a black screen. Since this only happens with Netflix and not Youtube, I'm making a guess that it's Silverlight related. My Silverlight is updated to the latest version. Also, Netflix works with internet explorer.

Downgrading silverlight is the only way around this issue. Microsoft introduced this problem by upgrading Silverlight yesterday. I don't have a trustworthy link to provide for downloading older versions of Silverlight.

Running the Microsoft Fixit tool at https://help.netflix.com/article/en/node/183?ba=GSButtonClick&q=n8152 should allow a downgrade.
