I built g a silly prototype search [1] over the weekend.  This is the first time I used the powerful text search features of ElasticSearch:  And it was awesome.  

Unfortunately, the existing index is not good for what I was trying to do, which was find current bugs.  The comments index should be marked up with the current bug state so that we can prioritize open bugs, and other features to get better results.  Thinking about it more, simply having the current bug state (with nested/child comments) would be an order of magnitude smaller and hopefully mush faster to search.

The objective of this bug to decide if current-bug-state index is a good idea, or rather try leveraging ES parent/child relationships to get the same effect.  Then implement it.
