User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:34.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/34.0 Build ID: 2014112600 Steps to reproduce: In the preferences, there is no option to stop firefox from blocking the flash plugin all the time.
Open about:addons > plugins and select "Ask to activate". Or use add-ons for that.

It happens on any page that has flash, and it happens when I temporarily remove my current profile.
Thanks for taking the time to report this! Does the problem still happen if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? (Safe Mode disables extensions and themes, hardware acceleration and some JavaScript stuff in order to exclude some possible reasons for problems. It does not disable plugins which are add-ons.) See http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic%20Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile and http://support.mozilla.org/kb/Managing%20profiles This is about a new and empty profile, not "temporarily removing your current profile" (whatever that means).

illumilor hasn't replied. so => assuming (again) invalid. Have you read https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/why-do-i-have-click-activate-plugins ? "Ask to activate" will ask once, unless it is html5 and not flash See also bug 1115065. also, If you want on-demand blockage with the potential to whitelist and other advanced feature then install something like flashblock If you choose to reply, please give more information, including a URL of the flash page
