mail/news crashes whenever i click on a specific subfolder.
problem persists after reboot. most likely folder corruption
when incoming mail was filtered there. NS6.2 still handles
the folder properly.
the file is 20 mb, so i'm hesitating to attach it...
later, the problem is solved by sending myself a message
that meets the filter criteria and goes to the folder,
which then behaves normal again.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
see above
deleting my own message makes the crashes reappear
(have sent a lot of talkback data by now).
Sounds like a message in that folder is causing the crash and when you add
another message it takes focus off the crashing message. I'll look for the
talkback but if you could isolate and give us information about the message or
attach it the that would be great. One way to isolate it would be to send
yourself another message that filters into that folder, then open the folder and
read each message, starting with messages near the one you just sent.
after sending a message to the specific folder, everything works fine again,
no signs of corruption, so i'm not sure what to attach.
in the meantime, the problem has occurred again, this time with the inbox,
causing mail to crash on launch...
just filed bug 111735 which seems to be related and is a lot more severe.
