1112375 - Cannot access to dw-ro-vip.metrics.scl3.mozilla.com port:3306

I have been given access to the dw-ro-vip.metrics.scl3.mozilla.com port: 3306, but when I ran this command in the terminal:
nc -vz dw-ro-vip.metrics.scl3.mozilla.com 3306

I got the below message:
nc: connectx to dw-ro-vip.metrics.scl3.mozilla.com port 3306 (tcp) failed: Operation timed out

Could you please check and let me know what the problem is?

host not in inventory and appear to be a physical host but a vip by the hostname. not sure who handles this, cc-ing :sheeri for assistance.

spoke to sheeri, requires someone to grant her access via ldap bits. punting bug to ldap queue.

Hey Josephine,

I got the same error when I tried to connect, but was able to reach it over the Mozilla VPN. (Mozilla Certificate Based VPN) Please try again over VPN.

Henry, can you check her LDAP bits, that she's allowed to access that VIP? She was on the VPN at the time.

Hmmm, not seeing a bit that is specific to this host. Adding jabba.

I did not see an existing group for this VIP, so I created vpn_dw_db_vips and added Josphine to the group and granted access to 10.22.24.16:3306. Please disconnect/reconnect any VPN sessions and this should work.
