Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:34.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/34.0
Build ID: 20141125180439

Steps to reproduce:

I tried to subscribe to the following RSS Feed: https://freedom-to-tinker.com/feed/rss/

I validated the feed with W3C feed validator and it said it is valid.

Actual results:

I get the message: The Feed URL could not be found. Please check the name and try again.

Expected results:

I should get subscribed to the URL.

Is it possible that it would be a CA issue? What would be the error if certificate would not be seen as valid?
This is an interesting case, in that something changed in gecko. In Tb trunk, the feed url, entered exactly as above, works. In Tb31, gecko rejects it as invalid xml (as it is really a notfound html page) *before* the redirect to the real url. There's been a lot of xhr internals work, re channels etc.

The publisher's server is very particular. The real url must be entered with ending /, ie https://freedom-to-tinker.com/feed/ exactly in Tb31. It should work as is next release, Tb38.
