It looks like Matt can pull something together, although in this short time it will have to be a static image. 

One quick question - is the graphic going to appear on the about:home above the search?

Matt, thanks for this.

I realize that I wrote Mozilla logo but I meant Firefox logo. Sorry about that.

Also, we will use this in some languages with no snippet text below the search bar so it would be great to make it even more celebratory so it can stand alone.

Can you swap out the Mozilla logo for the Firefox? Can you make it pop more? Maybe the Fireworks will help. Bigger party :)

Thanks for the feedback, Fabio. I've swapped out the Mozilla logo for the Firefox one...that has allowed me to increase the viewing area a bit and still keep within the required dimensions. I'm hesitant to add any more to the viewing area since it is already a tight space, the addition of more elements like fireworks starts to make things look busy. Although it would seem to make sense to give off the impression of a big party, I'm afraid it will start to look like a visual after thought. The other issue I was finding with fireworks, is that they look best in a dark night sky, not so much on the light background found on the about:home.

Can you also share a version that has a "2015" on it somewhere? I can use this version in regions where we don't have snippet text.

Thanks Matej. Fabio and I had some back and forth outside of the bug and worked out an option that highlights '2015'. This was done using a few party balloons.
