RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 109627

Details

From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:0.9.6+)
Gecko/20011121
BuildID: 2001112108

Pressing F11 seems to corrupt some part of the user's chrome preferences. All
toolbars except for the main one disappear, and even on the main one, everything
except for Back/Forward/Relead/Stop disappear, including the URL bar and
throber. On non-Mac platforms, the menubar disappears as well, rendering the
browser unusable. Anything that does not dissapear still works, including the
menus on Mac.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. BACK UP YOUR USER PROFILE.
2. Start up Mozilla.
3. Press F11.
4. Observe the toolbar.

Actual Results: All toolbars except for the main one disappear, and the main
one loses most of its elements. On new windows the toolbars will all appear
momentarily, but will revert to the damaged state once the page is done loading.

Expected Results: Nothing should happen.

Note that this corruption persists across restarts; the only fix I've found so
far is to delete the damaged profile (the bookmarks.html and cookies.txt can be
salvaged, and it looks as though prefs.js might be salvageable too). This has
been tested thus far on Windows 2000 and Mac OS X.
This is the intended behaviour of the F11 key shortcut, implemented in 68136.
It triggers the "fullscreen" mode, removing urlbar, personal toolbar and
statusbar, in order to gain more "screen real-estate".

If hitting F11 once more does not bring back full chrome, this can be considered
a dup of bug 109627. Otherwise it's invalid.
reporter: why did you press f11?
