Since apparently the failure isn't focus related, it's probably a good idea to revert the previous patch...
I hate to suggest this, but since it's 100% on Linux, and 20% of our overall failure rate currently comes from Linux slaves in the bug 1114541 state, the most useful debugging patch would probably be just to catch this state and then intentionally time out to generate a screenshot, so we can see whether this is a failure, or a failure to provide a useable slave.

No, since I hit this locally when I blurred the window as I was running tests.  So it's definitely focus related.  It could be I didn't fix all of the broken things.
