STR:
1. download http://www.etsi.org/deliver/etsi_ts/151000_151099/15101001/10.03.00_60/ts_15101001v100300p.pdf (5000+ pages pdf file)
2. Open the file in the PDF.JS viewer (http://mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/web/viewer.html)
3. Open PDF.JS's sidebar (leftmost button in the toolbar)
4. hold down the '↓' key to scroll down through the pages
FF 34 takes 1:01 minutes to scroll through the first 50 pages
FF aurora 36.a2 takes 1:50 minutes to scroll through the first 50 pages,
Each time a new page is rendered, the update of thumbnail images causes a reflow of the DOM tree (~40000 Elements). It's that reflow which was a lot of faster in FF34.

FF 35 is still good, FF 37.0a2 is still bad.

Summary: Reflow / scrolling performance has regressed → Reflow / scrolling performance has regressed in Firefox 36
works for me Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:97.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/97.0
I cannot reproduce a difference between 34.0a1 and 37.0a2 either. (with mozregression and Win10)
