After loading of first page from www.borland.com, and animated GIF loaded, browser hangs up.
Please go to http://www.mozilla.org/quality/help/bug-form.html so you can learn how to properly file a bug. As for this bug, it works for me on both windows xp and linux, with mozilla 0.9.6 and fresh cvs
Reopening. I see temporary freezes there - for 10 sec at the time, then it "lets go" and shortly after freezes a little again - on/off. Makes the page pretty useless. Testing with linux, 2001121206.
It isn't an animated gif. It's javasacript playing a "slideshow" of separate gifs. Moz goes into some frenzy "playing" the gifs ever faster, using 99% CPU at worst. Thus the hang. The script uses document.all - not sure if this is a bug or evang.
Wfm. (BuildID: 2001 12 18 03/Win98). Linux specific bug?
This is not a Linux only. I can reproduce it everytime on w2k with 2001121003.
wfm on win 98(2202-02-02-08-trunk), linux(2002-02-04-12-trunk), and win 2k(2002-01-25-03-trunk)
