We don't draw the same kind of progress bar in the dock on OS X 10.10 compared to Safari. See the attached screen shot. Our progress bar is kind of ugly with the white background, and it is shown on the app's icon. Safari's is shown both under the Downloads folder in the dock and under the individual file when you open the Downloads folder (with a cancel button there too).
