STR
(1) Load URL
(2) Zoom in to about 300%
(3) Observe rendering time
I'm testing on a fedora-21 laptop with a relatively recent Ivy Bridge processor and 32GB RAM. Results:
2015-01-08 nightly: rendering time is about 19 seconds.
distro firefox 34.0: rendering time is about 4 seconds.
chrome 40: rendering is pretty much instantaneous
So it appears there was a pretty serious regression between gecko 34 and 37, and pdf.js is much much slower than chrome's viewer on this file.

Unable to reproduce yet. On my ubuntu 14.04 VM with FF34 and FF38 seem to take roughly the same amount of time(~1.7seconds).
Priority: -- → P3
Whiteboard: [pdfjs-c-performance]
works for me with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:97.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/97.0 (and 2015-01-08 nightly build on win10)
Does this bug (still) exist? Can someone test with fedora?
